Stage Left

For Grades 5th – 8th

Stage Left offers a greater challenge to youth actors in grades fifth through eighth looking to enhance their theatrical skill set! Working collaboratively with their peers, young actors in this program will focus on developing advanced audition techniques, stage awareness, actor movement and character development. The program culminates in a fully staged and costumed performance for family and friends.

Grades: 5th – 8th

This hilarious comedy by William Shakespeare (and also one of his first!) thrives on mistaken identity. When two sets of identical twins are separated by a shipwreck and unknowingly end up in the same city, confusion, slapstick, and witty wordplay are bound to occur! Mistaken identities get everyone tangled up in knots to the delight of the audience. Join First Act’s Stage Left Production Class as we tackle a shortened version of this Shakespearean comedy for the first time in an after-school production class!
