Current Offerings

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made prior to the two weeks before the class/camp start date will be refunded in full, less a $40 registration fee. Cancellations made after the two weeks before the class/camp will be non-refundable.

Fall 2026

Grades 1st – 5th

In this beloved classic story, set in medieval England, village children befriend a poetry-loving Dragon living in a cave nearby. When the Village officials find out about the Dragon, they send for the brave knight, Sir George, to destroy him. The children must come up with a clever plan to save their Dragon friend and convince everyone to accept the Dragon before it’s too late! First Act is delighted to bring this original play, based on the book by Kenneth Grahame, to our stage, so be sure to join us for this heroically kind fairytale!

Grades 5th – 8th

This hilarious comedy by William Shakespeare (and also one of his first!) thrives on mistaken identity. When two sets of identical twins are separated by a shipwreck and unknowingly end up in the same city, confusion, slapstick, and witty wordplay are bound to occur! Mistaken identities get everyone tangled up in knots to the delight of the audience. Join First Act’s Stage Left Production Class as we tackle a shortened version of this Shakespearean comedy for the first time in an after-school production class!

Grades 8th – 12th

Based on the book by Bram Stoker, this original one-act version of the gothic story is set in Victorian England and features many of the leading characters from the original novel, including the heroic Arthur, brave Jonathan Harker, wise Dr. Van Helsing, beautiful and tragic Lucy, and her witty friend Mina, along with the intelligent Dr. Seward and, of course, the disarmingly dangerous Dracula himself. With a host of other “evil” characters, this is a challenging and epic tale that is sure to tingle your spine!

Auditions: November 12th from 7:00 – 9:00 PM at First Act Home Base

We offer programs year-round, focusing on the process of learning the art of theatre.  We provide instruction in acting, choreography, and vocals as well as creative movement.
